Critical infrastructure includes all physical and system assets the smooth functioning of which is of utmost importance to modern life. Therefore these assets are prime targets for terrorists and are guarded by private security companies as well as government agents and officers. Some of these critical assets are:

FFI’s ELITE Explosives Detection Technology is unique in that it can be carried in the pockets of all security guards protecting a particular asset. A low-cost, reliable and simple explosives detection network is created In combination with the guards’ radios. A guard can take a sample on the door handle of a suspicious vehicle and using his radio can call the results back into a central location, which could also be under video surveillance.
