The new SPS-4® Helmet is now available with flip-up visor, environmental control system, and CBRN mask compatibility. The modern IED threat now ranges from simple modified fireworks to high tech devices that incorporate detailed firing switches and varying payloads,including chemical or biological agents. The technical response to these IEDs differs considerably throughout the world. One thing, however, remains constant; the need to be protected while working to defeat whatever the threat may be. The new SPS-4 Bomb Helmet provides the user with optimum head protection against blast over pressure, head acceleration and fragmentation. The flip up and lockable visor is designed to allow the user the capability to wear CBRN protective breathing apparatus while still maintaining the high levels of protection that the helmet offers. Also important to the user while operating in a CBRN environment is an abundant supply of fresh air flow to prevent the visor from fogging up and potentially to aid in minimizing overheating. The SPS-4's environmental control system is rated as one of the best on the market. Even while breathing in the extreme cold of a Canadian winter, the environmental system keeps the visor clear enabling the wearer to be as situationally aware as possible.

EOD Bomb Suit SPS-3®

The Field Forensics SPS-3 EOD Suit has evolved over years of trials and development through our partner company, Holdfast Protection in South Africa, whose active and intensive blast testing program gives us significant insight as to how our products are performing. Historically, the EOD Suit design has fallen into one of two versions; either a suit with heavy protection but with restricted mobility or one with improved mobility but achieved at the expense of protection. Neither one an optimum solution. With the evolution of IEDD has come the need for much greater finesse when defeating an IED in order to derive from it as much technical information as possible. This information is used in turn by intelligence agencies to enhance and improve the IED Defeat Capability which is constantly under attack by a global terrorist threat. The modern EOD Operator needs to have more situational awareness than ever to be able to complete ever increasingly difficult functions and requires the right equipment to make this possible. The SPS-3 EOD Suit, lighter than its predecessors, combines an ergonomic design while still providing the user with the best possible protection allowing the EOD Operator the increased levels of mobility and dexterity required to function effectively in the worldwide counter-IED role. The suit’s ballistic pads overlap to allow easy body movement. The outfit can be adjusted in size by variable straps and v-shaped Velcro fasteners. Fasteners at the side of the pants facilitate easy donning. Pockets have been added to carry important items and tools and can be customized.
