Forensic SPME Sampling Devices For Explosive Material Detection

Solid Phase Micro-Extraction Products – Forensic SPME Explosives Material Detection and Sampling Devices

(Solid Phase Micro-Extraction Products)

SPME is used for rapid sampling and analysis of organic molecules such as drugs, explosives, pesticides, toxic chemicals, and chemical weapons agents.

www.FieldForensics.com offers two patented SPME devices that are designed for field use, the TuffSyringe™ and the SafePorter™, as well as the patent pending benchtop SPME fiber reconditioning unit, the Conditioner 1X™

Tuff Syringe™

TuffSyringe

The TuffSyringe™ is a SPME needle manipulator that is ideal for all manual SPME procedures such as direct sampling of liquid, gas, or solid matrices, headspace sampling, and so on, with subsequent injection/desorption to the injection port of a GC/MS.

The TuffSyringe™ is approximately the same size as a ballpoint pen and includes two titanium caps that enclose and protect the SPME manipulator and needle. A Teflon insert helps to prevent sample desorption and sample contamination. For descriptions of TuffSyringe™ kits, options, and accessories, please click here or on the image.

SafePorter™

SafePorter

The SafePorter™ is an extremely rugged protective cylinder for Supelco's SPME Manual Sample Holder. The SafePorter™ hermetically seals-in the SPME Holder, protects it and the sample, and essentially transforms the Manual Sample Holder from a laboratory tool into a field tool.

For those occasions where sample-taking may contaminate the outside of the Manual Holder with toxic materials, the SafePorter™ is equipped with a septum in one end to allow sampling of the inside volume before opening the cylinder.
